by Sean McCann I didn't vote at the last general election. As the figures for voter turnout showed the lowest for a post war General Election, it would appear I wasn't alone. Politicians struggle to find answers as to why I, and many like me didn't vote, but there is a simple answer. The majority of the people employed by taxpayers to represent this country are scum. If we look at the UK Elections as opposed to the bunch of illiterate neds currently in power in Scotland, there is very little to choose between all the major party's. The Conservative Party is currently run by a rightwing, xenophobic buffoon. He helped destroy his old boss's credibility by voting with Labour 20 times during the run up to a general election. He blunders from one embarrassment to another, talk of modernisation swept aside because in reality the only people within his own party who support him are the membership, predominately over 60, white and middle class. The Labour Party, lets face it, are dishonest to the core. They have inflicted policy on this country that, a Tory government, could only dream off. They will 're-allign' their own policy, morality or even sexual orientation if it will gain them half a percent in a moray poll. They are disgusting sell outs not worthy of the loyalty Scottish people have invested in them for half a century. People in the North west of England continue to vote for camoflauged fascists because they feel they have no other option. This is a disgraceful trend that all the major UK party's must accept blame for. I don't vote because any politician I have ever listened to, I have found to be morally repellent. No amount of supermarket polling booths or online voting systems will change that.
