Do you want to be: Able to write for a local newspaper and get your community's voice heard? Able to produce newspaper pages using the latest technology? Able to work as part of a team, producing a paper that matters to local people? If so, our Introduction to Community Journalism course could be for you! The course will be based at Stow College's City Campus and is aimed at people who want to get involved in writing for and producing a local newspaper. The course is open to anyone over 16. Success on this programme can lead to full time study on a range of NQ courses, or, with suitable experience, onto a full time HNC Communication course. The course will also help you to develop new work-related skills in communications and desktop publishing.
