My name is Rosemarie Farrell, I’m 19 yrs old, I live in Renfrew in my parents house, I’m currently at stow college studying NQ care classes. In the NQ care the course offers a range of subjects to do like: Communication: all to do with knowledge and understanding Chemistry and life: all to do with plants, human nature on what we eat Accident and emergency: is to learn the first aid procedures just in case there is any kind of accident where your needed at Needs of the old: is to teach you how to understand their needs like social needs in how they don’t go out as they get older. Physical needs is to show people that not very many elders are as fit as they used to be, emotional needs shows you how the elderly are put in homes as there family don’t want to know them if not they live alone with very little family as they have their own and most of there friends they had have pasted away. Behavioural science: is all about socializing with the elderly and to understand every day life Care skill: is to do with sensitivity, self awareness, patience etc… in a care home setting to understand their feelings I.T.: is all to do with word processing if you are writing up reports in what ever career you go a head to do in later life Human body: is all to do with your body system i.e. digestive system, endocrine system, immune system etc all you do for that is to understand the body and be able to know what's wrong when working in a hospital. Science practical: is a very boring class but it comes in handy when you need to use it later on in life depending on what you move on to do it’s to do with measuring temperatures and being able to read it |
